Year groups
Each class is in the care of a class teacher (or teachers in the case of a job-share arrangement) with whom they will work for much of the school day. Class groups are organised, as far as possible, with a balance of boys and girls, and ages within each year group and, therefore, a range of abilities. Within each class, or year group, children will be grouped in order to cater for the stage they have reached, or their ability.
Each class has its own class name that is created with the children and teacher every year, this year are classes are named after famous artists.
