Pig Heart Boy

This term, to tie in with our Science topic of the Animals Including Humans, our class text is Pig Heart Boy by Malorie Blackman. Pig Heart Boy is a novel about a 13-year-old-boy who needs a heart transplant in order to survive; in the absence of a human heart being available, he is offered a pig's heart. The book explores the complex issue about Cameron's decision to participate in a risky and controversial experiment in order to save his own life.
