Collaboration

Collaboration

We consider strong collaborative skills to be vitally important for our children to succeed now and in the future. Successful collaboration lies in developing a set of skills and qualities promoted through approaches to learning.

These incorporate the ability to:

Communicate – the ability to express oneself and manage channels of communication to achieve a goal. Contribute knowledge, skills and ideas- understand your responsibilities within the group and be prepared to work towards a common goal.

Compromise- be able to collectively solve problems/ reach solutions from an amalgamation of ideas.

Show tolerance – recognise and accept different perspectives and approaches to achieving a positive outcome together.

Work as a Team player – be able to put self-interest aside to work socially on the shared task.

Show reliability – show trust in others and earn trust through working reliably. Give and receive feedback and act on what has been agreed.
