There will be opportunities for practical exploration and investigating within each lesson with children developing their skills in working scientifically in the five areas of disciplinary knowledge.

Each lesson will begin with an opportunity for children to retrieve their learning from prior lessons within the term, earlier in Year Three or even previous year groups.  This is done through exploring pictures, words and objects within our science suitcase.  Children are encouraged to use scientific vocabulary when making links to their prior learning.
