River Primary School
Our first football tournament for nearly 2 years- it was so good to be out competing again! Both our boys A and B teams took part in this competition and what a performance both teams showed!
The A team played very positive, attacking football throughout round one, going through to the Cup competition semi-final without losing a game. After a slow start in the semi-final, going 1 -0 down all of the boys picked up their game and went on to win the game - so onto the final!
The final saw us play the home team, Northbourne Park! What a performance River put on, saving their best football for the final and ran out easy winners 6-2!
Not to be outdone our B team also played attacking, free-flowing football. The B team secured their semi-final place in the Shield competition. All of the team played exceptionally well but were unfortunately beaten in the semi-final.
What a great start to be back to competitive sport, the sportsmanship and enjoyment of all was very clear to see! We are all looking forward to playing again this season, well done to you all!
