Team A played some good football as they begin to gel together as a team. A great effort by all however they were unfortunate not to process from the group stages.
Team B also played good football. Taking complete control of their group their topped the group without losing a game! On to the semifinals… upping their game ensured a place in the final!
Facing Kingsdown, who we had played in the group stages this started as a very close game. However, River B saved their best football for the final, took control of the game and ran out worthy winners for the 3rd successive year!
Well played to all that participated!

In the 1st round of the cup we were dawn against Deal Parochial at home. River made a very strong start to the game, passing the ball fluently and causing problems for the away side. At half time River were in complete control of the game leading 4-0. The 2nd half continued in the same way with River converting all of their chances, winning the game 10-0. On to the next round…

Kent School 7-a-side County Finals at Thamesmead London
For the 2nd successive year River represented Dover and Deal at this county final. The group stages started well winning our 1st game 2-1. In the 2nd game we went 1 nil down but showed great resilience and determination to level the score. In the final seconds of the game Ted shot at the goal, as the ball was heading over the line the ref blew the whistle and disallowed the goal. In our final game we were extremely unlucky to lose 1-0. We hit every bit of the goal except the back of the net! Well done to the whole team-you never gave up trying.
Graham Stabbs Cup
The semifinal… in very wet and difficult conditions we played Sandwich Juniors. This was a very close and evenly matched match, both teams played well. One brilliant moment from Olly, scoring a very individual goal secured the win. Into the final for the 2nd successive year!

Girls and Boys league games
This term we have completed all of our league matches. The girls have grown in confidence and are developing a love for football which is lovely to witness. They lost 4 matches and won 1. We are continuing our development ready for next season.
