Communication and language is a fundamental skill your child will learn in Reception. This term children will:

Listening, attention and understanding:

• Understand questions such as who, what, where, when, why and how. 

• Use who, what, where, when, why, how to start and ask a question.  

Speaking:

• Explain why things happen  

• Use talk to organise, sequence and  

  clarify thinking, ideas, feelings and events
