River Primary School
On Tuesday 17th September we held a Stone Age Day in Year 3 where the children had an opportunity to dress up in Stone Age themed costumes and learn more about this period in history through a variety of activities including:
- Cave painting
- Building (or attempting to build) a replica of Stonehenge using biscuits
- Pretending to be archaeologists digging for artefacts in the giant sandpit
- Using clay to make Stone Age themed Jewellery.
The children and staff had a great day and wrote recounts of their experience in our English lessons the following.
Please enjoy some photos from the day and some examples of the children's excellent recounts.
