In maths this term we will revise and consolidate our place value learning, extending this to understanding place value to three- and four-digits.  We will practise counting in different steps within 1,000 and will also use our developing knowledge and understanding to reason and solve problems.   

The older children will continue to work on learning and applying times table facts whilst the younger children continue to practise and learn number bond facts as well as skip counting forwards and backwards in jumps of 2, 3, 5 and 10. Some of the videos and songs that we use in class can be accessed below for further practise at home, whilst they are new to your child the speed can be slowed down in each of the video settings if required.  To support the children in becoming more fluent and faster in their recall, keep up with the short, daily practice on TTRS and/or Maths Shed! 

Remember to keep up with the time-telling at home - we were excited to hear at parent-teacher consultation meetings how many children were using these skills!
