Maths

MUST DO

It is arithmetic day today. Please complete the arithmetic pages at the bottom of this page. This does not need to be printed, you can copy the questions on paper like we do in school. Remember arithmetic should be done independently. You can mark your own learning using the answers on the final page of the document. 

Once you have completed this, spend some time on TTRS. 

Please complete at least one game in Garage, Studio and Gig.

MUST DO

Choose one of the eight planets in our solar system. Use the internet or books you have at home to carry out some research about your chosen planet. 

Questions to consider:

• Where is it in the solar system? Which planets are its neighbours?
• What type of planet is it? What does it look like?
• What is the atmosphere like?
• Does it have any moons or other special properties?
• How do we know about this planet?

Use the information you collect to create an informative poster. Challenge yourself to use Y5 SPaG skills (parenthesis, relative clauses, fronted adverbials)

Please bring your completed poster to school tomorrow as this research will help you to complete your planning.

It is sensory spelling day! Have a go at practicing your spellings in a fun and creative way. You could use anything you have at home, shaving foam, paints, flour, spaghetti, pen/pencils, letters.
