Communication and language is a fundamental skill your child will learn in Reception.

In Term 6 your child will:

Listening, attention and understanding:

• To have conversations with adults and peers with back-and-forth exchanges   

• To show interest in a non-fiction book linked to a topic/theme.  

• To listen and respond to ideas expressed by others in a conversation 

• To follow instructions of three steps or more  

• To ask for clarification when unsure. 

Speaking:

• To talk in sentences using a range of tenses. (Past, present, future)
